Two images of an anchor design with a mandala pattern on it. The top one is an SVG file that opens filled with color as the designer intended and the bottom one is a DXF file which does not open with color and all of the line segments are separated.

The difference between using an SVG vector file and a DXF vector file is that the SVG will open filled with color as the designer intended it to. The DXF file will not be filled with color and the line segments are all detached.
